Prices varied quite a bit between desertcart, Home Depot and various supply houses. That got me wondering if all were the same pump, so I started a text with Grundfos customer service. They were closed over the holidays, so it took me two weeks to finally connect with a rep. She was very helpful in telling me the 98420224 UP 10-16 A PM BU/LC pumps were all the same regardless who sold them. The replacement arrived within a week. I was very fortunate in that the plumber who plumbed my new home installed 1/2" shut off valves on each side of the pump, so isolating the valve was easy. I read the directions that came with the pump several times. The directions appear to have been updated in early 2024, so they were much improved over other reviews. With a large crescent and channel lock wrenches, the old pump came out easily. The new pump was exactly the same size so it went as easily. I was cautioned by the customer service rep to be very careful with the auto adapt cable and followed the directions verbatim. After flushing in both directions to ensure the pump had water, it plugs in and works well. An easy task. Review: this helps save water by not waiting for the hot water to get to your sink - our recirculator went out after 17 years in our house and - man you don't realize how nice it is to have instant hot water until - you don't have it and your house is a long ranch.
