I've had the truck about 8 years and I hadn't changed the valve cover gaskets since I first got the vehicle, so yeah it was about time. The old ones -- Fel-Pro gaskets by the way -- were leaking a bit at the rear of the engine but they held up a lot longer than they really should have.Anyway, the new ones came to me in perfect shape, no crimps or cuts or imperfections. These are metal gaskets with a rubber coating.
