### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LIFE SAVER

*by A***R on May 11, 2017*

Went down wearing this helmet doing around 40 mph the facial shield did its job but shatter outwards wen I hit the pavement other than a black eye I was ok got knocked out and slid on the pavement for about 15 yards but this helmet saved my life. If u r worried about it cuz of the price don't it works it's not heavy looks nice breathes well and will do it's job thanks for a great helmet

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Met all expectations, in general quality AND in specific details (lots to read...and suggestions for owners!)

*by E***H on June 16, 2017*

This helmet met all expectations, after exhaustive research and comparison both on-line AND at brick&mortar stores nearby. It compares favorably to any of the entry-level modular helmets; similar in construction to HJC, Scorpion, Bilt, etc -- that is, those brands' "plastic"-shell types in the retail $180-$220 range. Nearly identical features, similar build-quality.Seller's straight-on photos don't do justice to the sculptural shaping -- see the first four photos here (sorry for yellow cast - had to use light-bulb, not flash, to emphasize shapes)If you want to "try on" for size, this model's Large is nearly identical fit to a large HJC IS-MAX-BT (last year's model) -- except the 1Storm is much more comfortable on cheekpads. It is just between size Medium and Size Large of the newer HJC IS-Max II . My head measured 22 1/2 inches circumference, and the 1Storm Large is exactly snug (cannot force fingers between my brow and helmet-liner) without being too much pressure -- and cheekpads are firmly against cheeks. Yes, It will probably loosen up a bit as the padding "breaks in", but I cannot twist helmet or thrust it up&over. Good fit.Weight for Large: 4.01 lbSome have complained of excessive wind-noise --perhaps this comes from a 1/16" gap between clear face-shield and the helmet... even though there IS a rubber "gasketing" around the helmet opening where the shield SHOULD "seal" and this gasket even has a thin lip protruding, but it doesn't come close enough to the shield to make a seal. So (like I have done on other helmets in the past) I added 1/2" wide strips of 1/16" foam-tape to that gasket area (stuck mostly to the helmet shell but also right over the thin gasket) and this fills the gap perfectly, and the shield still snaps with authority down into position. Tape I used is the typical 3M picture-mount foam-tape, just not removing the cover on the second sticky side. Perfect thickness! (or snoop your local crafts store).Amazon listing does not make clear that this is the 1Storm model HG339 --you need to know this to order additional clear shields, as PowerGearMotorsports sells several different 1Storm face-shields at Amazon -- only the one labeled for this model, will "work" -- this one: https://smile.amazon.com/1Storm-Motorcycle-Modular-Helmet-Shield/dp/B01C3Y8DJA/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1497595757&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=HG339+face+shield --- I found it necessary to file back the outer perimeter of the outermost "catch" that sticks out of the circle-boss on that shield (just a tiny bit, maybe 1/32" or less...), else it was impossible to get the shield to snap into its pivot AND engage an L-shaped hook adjacent to the indent-mechanism.Probably a good idea to order an extra shield or two -- no idea how long these will be "in-stock", as there always seems to be a "new model" of helmet every few month, from ALL the manufacturers!I prefer the D-ring strap-closure to other brands' quick-release ratcheting catch -- especially since such D--rings are necessary to engage helmet-locks on most bikes.(no way to fasten those quick-release strap-ends over typical helmet locks)Ventilation SEEMS adequate (cannot compare: my prior full-face had none) -- the front lower vents (Not easy to open: slider is VERY stiff! and not very big, could be a problem with thicker winter gloves....) fold inward to create slots that blow upward over the inside of the clear face-shield (did not notice any fogging when these vents were open), and the upper-helmet scalp inlets are actual scoops that pop up with their (easier-to-move) slider, no fancy channeling, but these scoops feed two 3/8" diameter holes thru styrofoam liner -- and another two holes at back thru the screened exit holes -- should "vent" heat between the styrofoam and the spaced-away (and also quite open-pattern) head-liner.Exterior surface is shiny;(Painted I understand) -- I prefer white to keep sun-heat from cookin' my noggin'. Too early to tell if this is a fragile finish... My wife's yellow Spider-brand DID chip easily if dropped to garage floor. Branding label (and DOT label) on back of shell cannot be peeled off; both appear to be integral to the paint-job. But not very obtrusive.. quite subtle for "Branding".Edge-trim accepts the helmet-shell clamp of my Sena 10S bluetooth communicator, and it fits just behind the inner visor wheel actuator without interference (not too far back!). Of course this style (modular = opening-front) helmet needs the boom-mic, not the stick-on mic that my full-face helmet allowed...Hope these comments help others decide.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Received the helmet yesterday and I was very happy with it

*by D***P on July 17, 2016*

Received the helmet yesterday and I was very happy with it.. It is very comfortable, fits perfect and I really love the fact that I can open it and get some fresh air when driving at low speed or at traffic signals.. Overall great product and will definitely buy it again!Update: tried the helmet on high speed last night and the vents work perfect, it lets in just enough air to keep me comfortable and little noise to keep me focus on riding my bike...
