For example, I just bought a 500w EVGA non-modular unit (which is now powering a new Zotac GTX 1650) and didn't properly do my homework on what I needed for connections, so I had to buy this adapter, My motherboard has a 14 pin power connector, whereas the new PSU I bought had a 20+4 pin connection (which, for those who aren't sure, is a 20 pin connector and a 4 pin connector that frequently go together).Installation couldn't have been more easy. I plugged the 20 pin connector in, then the 4 pin, and then plugged it into my motherboard. Once I got all the connections where I wanted them and excess cabling (somewhat) out of the way, everything powered up just fine. It did not come with instructions, but with the pin configuration basically working only one way, I didn't feel they were necessary but should be included since some may try to plug things in improperly without realizing what is wrong and may require help.
