Works with rpm so at an idle the bike won’t move, even in gear. As soon as you add rpm the clutch engages the same as if you were letting it out. You can also stop in any gear and within reason you can take off in multiple gears but the higher the gear the more slippage until fully engaged. I am having a small strength issue with my left hand and had a big vacation planned with the bike. I have a 2005 Electra Glide Ultra Classic EFI. The bike has been rebuilt to a 95” and some cams for torque at a lower than “normal” range. I had to make a few adjustments to the new Rekluse to get it to work for me. I was able to use parts that came with the kit to get what I want. Tech support was a little clueless to my application and kept saying I needed to keep the bike at 3000-3500 for the clutch pack to function properly. Not the case. I ride at 1200-2000 and after a real dyno tune this bike peaks at or just before 3500 so that’s doesn’t work for me. I went with the weakest spring setting so that the pack would be fully engaged at 1200 rpm. Using the default springs my engine would cause the pack to slip up to and a little over 2 grand. I am very happy with the clutch pack and have a couple thousand miles on it with no issues. I run Mobil Motorcycle 15-40 in the chaincase. There are optional weights for these but they don’t tell you that on the phone or in emails unless you ask.
