The first unit was great and I was able to install it super easily, it worked great for about 2 weeks and then the source button broke and it was stuck on FM radio.I contacted Amazon and got a replacement even before I had returned the malfunctioning unit. When I installed the replacement unit I started having issues the first week, sometimes the unit would just stop emitting sound, the visual EQ still moved around like the music was playing but no sound came out of any of my speakers, this would happen intermittently, usually on warmer days when I had been using the unit for more than 20 minutes at a time, I figured it was maybe a heat issue or a thermal cut off or something (the built in amp is just a small capacitor). The speakers I was running are just 2 boss 5x7" in the rear and 2 boss 5.25" in the front doors, so I thought maybe I was pulling too much power.Then about a month ago the system died completely, the unit has nothing on the display, doesn't light up or connect to my phone. I thought maybe I blew a fuse and the system wasn't getting power at all, but then I drove my car one night and noticed that there is still a faint glow coming from the display but there is nothing being displayed, and still no connection or output.I am really bummed, I know you "get what you pay for" but to be honest I purchased this unit mostly for the way it looked and how well it matched the interior of my Volvo 242, and I would have been willing to pay double for it if it had been reliable and made from slightly better components. ### ⭐⭐⭐ The thought processes of humanity seriously vex me at times *by F***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2019* I am not sure what the issue was with this unit initially. It seems quite temperamental and there is a part of me now wishing that I had returned it for another...but in the end it finally did work. The wiring was done carefully and by the book each time. The first time, I could tell the unit was trying to turn on because the screen clearly changed (the hue of it), but would not operate. Through persistence I tried again a few days later, and this time it worked but would not turn off when the vehicle was turned off. 3rd time, so far (thank G-d) it turns off when the vehicle is turned off.Now that it is working, I am pretty happy with the fact that I can load files from micro sd and usb. The good: you can have a micro sd card and usb jump drive for media and still have an additional port for charging a smartphone. The bad: It seems you are limited to microsdHC, meaning it will not read microsdXC and it being 2019, that is a tremendous oversight on the design team's part. Seriously, flash memory capacity will only be getting bigger, NOT smaller. 5 or 10 years from now there will probably be a bunch of cheap 1tb flash memory on the market for relatively cheap and 32gb sdhc cards are likely to be more limited in availability. It is sad to see that some designers are able to get really great stuff in designs (like 2 usb slots and a slot for microsd) but then bungle it with a poor decision in another aspect. Its 20 bucks....I would have been happy to pay more for SDXC and judging by several other comments, I was not alone in this. It frankly reminds me of the poor decision of the late 2000s toyota highlanders having, for some UNKNOWN reason, a double din stereo with no aux port and (trumpet sound) a CASSETTE player. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super Value x2 *by H***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2019* Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  With an open air CJ5 that never had a radio in 50 years, this generic twenty buck digital stereo bargain worked out great... I am not confirming it's actually 4x60! it's probably more like 4x20 which drove these Ford Expedition take-out speakers just fine. Heck, I'll probably order another as a spare in case it breaks or is stolen... The instruction manual is a joke as usual with these cheap imported electronics.Friday the 13th, 2019 Update, just orderd another as a spare.
