I bought this electric water kettle for my wife who drinks multiple cups of hot water and tea everyday most of the year. She has a Japanese automatic water boiler which serves her well. However, during the hot summer months she drinks less hot beverages so she doesn't need hot water on demand 24 x 7. This is where the electric water kettle comes in handy. When she wants hot water it only takes a few minutes for the kettle to bring it to the desired temperature. Then she turns it off until the next time hot water is needed. This kettle strikes to me as sturdy. I had a double walled glass kettle before. This one is not as pretty but easy to clean and long lasting. It boils water very quickly within seconds with a push of a button. It can hold a pretty good amount of water. Up to 1.7 liter maximum. Making tea in the morning is so much easier with an electric kettle like this.
