Review: Unripe Fruit? No Problem! - I had seen these and finally broke down and purchased a package, because I was too intrigued. I mainly purchased these so I could throw a flavor tripping party for some friends and family, but I was skeptical of how well they would actually work. To say I was blown away is an understatement. Half a pill works equally as well as a whole one, so make sure you cut these in half. You must absolutely let these dissolve all over your tongue otherwise the effect will be little to none (my dad found that out the hard way when he bit into a lemon). The taste of the pills is pretty icky in my opinion and dry like cardboard, but the results are totally worth it. I've found that the effects of the pill last a bit longer than 30 minutes. These do not alter the taste of foods; dark beer is not going to taste like chocolate (been there, done that), but anything with a sour or a bite to it will instantly become a delectable flavor trip. Lemons, grapefruit (which I hate), and granny smith apples are my top favorites. Sour cream does taste similar to cheesecake only not near as sweet, but interesting. Regular baking cocoa powder becomes tolerable, and apple cider vinegar...well it was unique although I think it tasted better without the pill! Really, you can use a bunch of foods to try rather than just fruits or veggies, but remember that the more bitter something is the better the effect will be. If you are like me and have a hard time eating fruit when it is out of season, this is your answer right here. I just ate a bunch of raspberries and a granny smith apple, and the taste was amazing and almost too sweet. For the price, these are expensive if you plan to purchase on a regular basis. These are definitely a novelty item, but experiment till your hearts desire. Final note: If you eat too much citrus or hot stuff, it will bite you back later. Review: Miracle Frooties are sooooo cool - Like most people, I was skeptical about trying Frooties. I read a lot of articles about the product and watched many You Tube videos. Curiosity finally got the best of me and I placed my order. My order arrived today. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they included a free Frootie in with my invoice as a thank you. I started by lining up a host of items: Lime wedges, Lemon Wedges, Star Fruit slices, Pure Vitamin C powder (incredibly sour), Plain Greek Yogurt, Sour Cream, Brussels Sprouts, Red Wine Vinegar, Tabasco Sauce & Vodka. I popped my Frootie in my mouth and swished it around for about 3 minutes. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to swallow my saliva so I just held it in my mouth the whole time then spit when I was done. First, the lemon wedge. I took a bite and my eyes lit up. It tasted like a lemon that someone had rolled in powdered sugar. It was sublime. Next I tried the Lime wedge. Again, you taste the lime but it tastes like a lime candy. I started laughing. The Star Fruit tasted almost like a soft apple. It was sweet and had a mild crunch. I ended up eating about 4 slices of that. I mixed the vitamin c powder into a glass of water. When I took a mouthful, I naturally expected a very sour taste. Instead, it tasted like a light lemonade. I was so curious that I actually stuck my finger directly into the Vitamin C powder and tasted it. It tasted like a Pixi Stick. The Greek yogurt tasted tart still, but had a very pleasant sweet taste. What surprised me the most was the sour cream. It tasted like a really creamy frosting...hard to explain but I had 3 teaspoons of it! The Brussels sprouts tasted like chestnuts. I really enjoyed their flavor. The Tabasco sauce almost tasted like a V8 juice EXCEPT the tip of your tongue can still sense the heat. So it was sweet, but the tip of my tongue told me otherwise. I now realize why people shake it onto their tongue in the videos. The red wine vinegar still smelled very much like vinegar as I brought it to my mouth. I had a hard time with that one. But when it hit my tongue, it tasted like a port. It is nothing I would drink, but I had to take a sip out of curiosity. At this point I was starting to worry that my stomach was going to pay me back, but it felt completely fine. I journeyed on and tried a small sip of vodka, which simply tasted like water. There wasn't much of a taste. I imagine if you squeezed lemon juice into it, you would probably have a fantastic "lemon-drop". After my tasting spree I cleaned everything up, got a glass of water and went into the other room. About 1 hour later I found myself going back to see what a Brussels sprout tastes like without the frootie. I bit into one and it still tasted like a roasted chestnut. To check myself I bit a small wedge of lime and it too still tasted like lime candy. The effect was still working after more than one hour. I got online to order another package because I have organized a "Flavor Tripping Party" which is what these parties are called when you pop a frootie and serve all these bizarre foods. If you've got an adventurous spirit, give them a try. I hope my ramblings have helped answer someone's questions and motivated someone else to give them a try.

I had seen these and finally broke down and purchased a package, because I was too intrigued. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ we need to find a way to make the effect permanent.

I decided to try this out, so I bought a pack of these, lemons, limes and a grapefruit. I then met some friends for lunch. 3 ordinary men sat down to eat some fruit. By the time it was over the lemons and limes were gone and 3 children left the table with a state of excitement which was not appropriate for people in their 20's and 30's. The grapefruit was not eaten, because it turns out the miracle berry only turns sour into sweet, it doesn't turn something that normally tastes like diesel fuel mixed with dirty laundry into something you want to eat. Insert turd polishing, pig lipstick metaphor here. Later on we dabbled with strawberries and what was left of our tiny minds was blown out. Strawberries take on the taste of some syrupy candy, and you won't be able to stop eating them. By late afternoon we all had some very strange feelings in our stomachs from eating more fruits than larry craig in an airport bathroom. Its probably not good to eat this much citrus. I would give it 5 stars but its so damned expensive that you feel somewhat silly about the whole thing. I mean its more than $1 per tablet. If you could buy these at the grocery store for a couple of bucks for a big bottle, I would buy them all the time. I guess its fun for a one time experiment. You wont lose your job if you have to pass a drug test as with some of lifes other "experiments". Nor do you have to have a friend to take care of you while you trip out, in fact its more fun to take your whole family on this voyage, my 5 year old thought it was great too. So do yourself a favor, buy them, buy a bunch of fruit and have possibly the healthiest and yet tastiest snack time you can ever imagine. oh, buy yourself some nice 3 ply toilet paper too while you're getting the fruit.
