Go with all wooden ones instead. These scratch up and dent very easily. If you want something to look nice after your kids play with it for the first time, don't buy these. The metal *is* thin like some of the other reviews stated, but with the price (seemed inexpensive for the quality) we really didn't expect these to be something that would last forever. I'd be afraid if the metal were any thicker it would make these heavy and more of a danger while being slung around. If it gets dented/sharp edges we will just replace it, like with any other toy that wears out. The wooden lids/spoon/fork are super cute! The color is nice, too-- It's not super bright/hoaky, and is unisex, which was nice. Perfect size for toddlers. But they bend back easily.
