Wharfedale Vista 200S The Vista 200 delivers a significant sonic upgrade despite its low-profile design and thoroughly modest price tag. Just 90cm in length and only 6.2cm high, its long and slender form sits unobtrusively beneath the screen without spoiling even the most stylish TV aesthetic. Placed on a TV stand or mounted on a wall, its smart, gloss-black finish always looks the part. Nestling behind the metal speaker grille is a pair of high-quality dynamic driver assemblies, positioned at either end of the soundbar’s length to ensure spacious stereo sound and augmented by two reflex ports to aid bass response. These drivers are powered by 2x30W stereo amplification, producing a sound that is crisply detailed yet tonally rich – a powerful, highly intelligible delivery that ensures voices are clear, sound effects are impactful, and music is full-bodied and engaging. Review: Excellent Sound - Terrible Remote - Having owned this system for a few months now, I've got to say that I am very impressed. I'll go through the good and the bad. Firstly, the subwoofer is essential. I know you can buy the sound bar on its own, but the subwoofer is necessary to go from a nice sound to a great audio experience. The balance is great on this system. It's easy to hear dialogue (on all 3 settings - I tend to keep mine on movie mode as it does everything pretty well). On movies, the music is really well handled even if it's in the background. The soundbar is very good at directional balance as well, to you get a good stereo experience. Things like explosions, powerful engines and gunfire all sound epic, although I have the bass level pretty much on full. I have much more expensive stereo setups than this one, but this really is very very good for the price. Apart from one thing.....THE REMOTE CONTROL! The remote control is one of those very small ridiculous cheaply made things that you find when you buy alarm clocks that have remote controls...etc. It does the job. The buttons work fine and all of the functions you need are on it. Because it's small you tend it lose it very easily if you're not careful. Because it's cheap, it means using the volume up and down buttons can be pretty annoying and borderline frustrating. Here's a tip.....use an aux cable to connect to your TV. Reason: Firstly, the soundbar will turn on when it detects sound through this method. Secondly, you can use your TV remote to turn up and down the volume. Just set the system to almost full volume and bass using the Wharfdale remote, and then adjust with your TV one. Trust me, it's so much easier. Bluetooth is easy to connect and the subwoofer just connects when the soundbar turns on, so it's nice and straightforward. I would love to give this thing 5 stars, because the important stuff (sound, build quality, ease of use) is of a very high quality. But the remote is just terrible. If Wharfedale just spent a bit more money on getting a better remote control for this thing, it would be pretty much perfect.

**Q: Is the sub woofer wired or wireless?**
A: Sub wooffer has wireless conection with soundbar, you have two wired electrical plug conections for power of soundbar and sub woofer.

**Q: Can i add more speakers to this to create a surround sound**
A: Hi, no there is no connections for more speakers.

**Q: Are there any optical or hdmi cables supplied in the box?**
A: You will have to buy HDMI or optical cabel separately. At the beginnig we listened music and TV through bluetooth connection but sound with optical or HDMI cabel is so much better and stronger.

**Q: What's the approx total depth required on a shelf once power/hdmi cables coming out of the rear?**
A: From the front of the speaker to the bend on the power lead is 130mm. The bend is quite tight so if you wanted to be a bit more generous Allow 135-140mm.

I looked at various soundboard from £100 to £500 and almost missed this one; glad I didn't! Pros. Clear rounded sound. Works well with movies and music. Speech is clear. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ How did I not get this sooner!

Arrived today after speaking to the people at wharfedale for advice... set up in 5 minutes and wow I'm glad I bought this! I wasn't even bothered about a sub woofer but it came with the soundbar and even without the sub its impressive! Nice little Xmas present for myself and I recommend anyone to get this! Sound is incredible and options to toggle sound types us a click away... roll on a mandalorian re-watch tonight!
