Replacing the four foot, single bulb fixtures cost more than I was willing to spend, so the alternative was to replace the ballasts and this one does the job. Replacing the ballast was relatively easy as they attached exactly the same as the old ones and the wiring was "half" successful. The only problem I encountered was the blue wires to the end socket were too short by about a foot so I had to splice them to the old wires from the socket. I used some small wire nuts. The hot and neutral feed wires and the red pair to the far end socket were the appropriate lengths, although you could consider using wire nut splices there as well. The wiring pattern was different than the 17 year old Robertson ballast I was replacing.
