The Toyota service manual says the engine needs to be pulled to do this job, there are a few videos on the Internet that show you how to do it without doing that. The process involves removing the upper torque mount and the nuts from the lower engine mount and jacking up the engine from the oil pan with a block of wood. It's still a timely process, but for the total cost of a little less than $200 for the water pump and the coolant you save a lot of money if you're able to do it yourself instead of paying someone. Just be sure while you have everything undone to inspect your serpentine belt and pulleys because some of those may be due to be changed out also. The hub of the water pump is notched at the right places so that during installation the pulley can be wiggled around with a much higher degree to provide the MUCH NEEDED room to install (tighten, and torque wrenched) with the right torque specs. For 2GRFE engines such as the one on my 2015 toyota sienna, it made the installation of the new replacement pump much easier than removing the old original one. The logo for Toyota has been grinded away at the factory so it is sold as Aisin brand. It fits exactly the same with OEM quality. I woild highly recommend this part to anyone who would want to DIY on replacing the water pump. No leak and worked perfectly for the road trip we had.
