Even when the bag is fully loaded the leather straps are long enough to close it securely. I only have one criticism and that is simply that the bag's hook assumes the door already has a coat hook on it. With that being said, the one negative thing (and I'm nit-picking here) I'd point out is that the chocolate brown straps and handle, and the dark brown/black piping seem to be made of a synthetic/fake leather type material. I don't believe this will affect the durability of the item, but I mention it because I was under the assumption that all parts were genuine leather. I would gladly pay more for this if at least the straps were made out of real leather. Bottom Line: This is a stunning piece and worth every penny. Looks much more expensive than it's price. It's one of those items that anybody could use, so it would make a great gift for someone who's hard to buy for (male or female).
