His repair left the iPad inoperable as it would ghost type and make all sorts of screen selections without touching it. After having my iPad sit for a year as a paper weight I decided to try and fix it myself.The screen screen came with everything I needed to replace the old one. The tape strips are pre cut, the tools were more than adequate for the one time use they may see, and the screen works great. The instructions were a little lacking in some techniques that needed to be performed.The installation was a bit stressful, having never done one before. The hardest part was placing the home button on the new glass. In the end the button ended up being a little loose in its mount but works fine. Next time I’ll be better at it.If your a handy person and ok with the risk of making a mistake (destroying your device), this is a good option for you. ### ⭐⭐ thin and broken screen again after 1 week *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2019* This was easy to install, it took about an hour because the previous screen was shattered pretty bad. This was my first time replacing an Ipad screen. I added some extra glue because the adhesion tape wasn't sticking in some spots. This screen did appear to be thinner than the original and it cracked within the first week after installation. Ipad is in a lifeproof case, has been dropped twice since installation, and is completely shattered again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the money *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2020* I was able to replace a shattered screen with this. The shattered screen was tough to remove, but the installation of the new screen was a breeze.
