It was just what I needed as a costume for a play, and it held up well for weeks of rehearsal, performances, and quick changes. It is a bit see-through (not as bad as some white dresses) so I wore a white camisole underneath and a white underskirt, and that took care of the problem. The only zipper is on the side, under the arm, so you have to pull it up over your head to change, which can be a bit of a challenge when you're rushing between scenes. It is not machine washable but was easy to hand-wash and hang dry.
