When I wrote to the seller about it they said "About the switch button problem you mentioned.The function of the switch button is to turn off the LED light.This product is to pull the plug every time you change the water." Well, yeah, that's what the on and off switch is for...I hate to have to unplug it every time I want to turn the light off...not just to change the water.My son has the same one, bought from a different vendor that has the on and off switch...wish I would have bought it from his vendor. ### ⭐⭐ Light problem *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2019* The first fountain light went out in under a week. I returned it and got a replacement. The second fountain light went out in under a month. The rest of the fountain works fine. You just don't have a warning system for low water levels. I check it every night so it's fine for now. But there seems to be a design issue. It took our cat about 10 days to actually drink out of it, but once she tried it and got used to it, she liked it. It's vey easy to clean and runs quiet unless it gets too low on water, and then it sounds more like a little fountain. But most of the time, it makes almost zero noise. It does have a bright blue light on it to indicate that it's on, so be aware that it's VERY bright in the night.
