Review: Creamy bronze like color, good coverage and easy to apply - I’ve used Rub ’n Buff and Pebeo before and that's the basis for comparison here, but I needed a true bronze shade, which neither of those lines offered in the color I wanted. This one fit the bill, and I was excited to try it as soon as it arrived. I started using it immediately, and so far I’m very impressed. The texture is creamy and easy to work with, making it simple to apply evenly. It gives great coverage, even over black. I prefer to build in light layers, but this wax is thick enough that you can get solid coverage much faster if you want. I'm using it on a foam applicator for tight spots and my finger for bigger areas and things working well both ways. It goes on smoothly, a little goes a long way , it doesn’t feel streaky, and gives a beautiful metallic finish. In terms of quality and ease of use, it’s every bit as good as the other well-known brands I’ve used. Overall, this is good stuff, and I’m very happy with how it’s working so far. I’ll definitely keep this in my craft supplies.

I’m not very good at arts and crafts, but I found a beautifully carved wood mirror at a thrift shop for $8 and wanted to try to save it. This gilding wax made the process incredibly easy. It works quickly, goes on smoothly, and a little goes a long way, so the coverage is great for the size. The color is beautiful, the quality is excellent, and it gives a nice metallic finish without being hard to use. Definitely a good value for the money, and I’d recommend giving it a shot—even if you’re a beginner like me.

Applies easily, and, after a couple of coats of spray lacquer, it is very durable. I did a relatively havy coat, waited a short while, and went back and reapplied where needed. The easiest way to apply is with your finger. Use a nitrile glove and rub it on. (Any paint brush you use is not good for anything afterwards.) It applies equally well to paint, metal, or wood. I did not apply to glass. I found it easy to clean off non porous surfaces before it dried with a damp cloth. It is a nice copper/rose gold color.
