It will take more math than I care to do to determine the diluted concentration. However, I sold this product to veterinarians for over 9 years, and it is the most effective disinfectant you can buy. It is very effective against viruses at 3 oz. per gallon and against bacteria at 1 oz per gallon. To use more than 3 oz. per gallon is wasting the product. Its effectiveness lasts longer in the presence of organic material. Do not be put off by the veterinarian use. This is Chlorhexadine diacetate and this chemical is used in hospitals and veterinary clinics to clean and disinfect instruments and hard surfaces. The reason this product has favor in these environments is that it has a good kill spectrum, and where many disinfectants become less effective when the liquid comes in contact with organic material such as blood and pus, Nolvasan keeps working.My experience with the product comes from observing use in veterinary clinics. I use it freely around the house when I want an effective germ kill. Because of non-stop fear advertising, consumers use disinfectants far too frequently, and it is my opinion that if you use an ineffective product, there is the possibility of growing a resistant strain.
