I was pretty skeptical thinking there would be a build up in my hair, but there was not. It gets hair clean very nicely, smells wonderful (though the scent doesn't stay very long in my hair) and it is gentle enough to use on my kids too. It does not lather as well as a regular shampoo does (which is to be expected) but it still get hair nice and clean. It keeps my hair soft too, however I will be adding a conditioner bar to my routine for the ends of my hair.
