I decided on this one as there was a compartment to store pills which meant the medicine and the crusher were always together and there wasn't a risk of it accidentally being used for crushing a person's pills. The plastic is high quality and sturdy. It is incredibly easy to crush pills - before we were using scissors or pliers to cut the tablets. I just place one in the middle and turn the handle a few times and it quickly turns into a smooth dust which I just sprinkle onto my cat's food. Because it is crushed so fine it does leave behind a little but it is easy to wipe it with a finger and get the rest off. If you wanted something that cuts pills into sections then I wouldn't recommend this crusher. However, if you wanted something that can crush pills for mixing into water/yoghurt then this would be perfect. Great value for money and I wish I had bought it sooner. I will buy another one if I need one for human pills.
