However the the rolling pin is of 2 laminated pieces, which I was not expecting and is not shown in the product pictures. I chose a single wood option thinking it was one piece, but to be fair that is not stated anywhere in the description, and modern wood glues should last many (20-100+) years before breaking down even in a kitchen environment. It starts with the packaging. The item was carefully wrapped in white tissue paper and then brown craft paper with a seal. Also included was a small Scotch-Brite pad labeled "Wood Care" with care instructions. The layers of wood are expertly sealed with no gaps and sanded smooth. I found the length to be ideal for rolling out pastry and dough, large enough to make a job quick, small enough to maneuver easily. The ends taper so that you can hold it without worrying about your hands.
