Make sure you know this is beige/tan, not grey. I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla, so yes - this is my 3rd broken handle in the car, and that's just interior! Plastic dry-rot is real, folks. But in any case, this does the trick. It comes with everything you need to fix the handle - the screw and the little plastic piece that attaches the wire to the handle (it's what usually breaks). It's a little bit of a pain in the neck to do this fix yourself, but I am not particularly handy or great with cars and I can do it myself in 10-15 minutes. By now, I should be a pro, but getting the plastic "neck" off the wire always takes me a bit. The only tools you need are a Phillips head screwdriver and possibly some kind of pliers/cutters/clippers to break the old plastic white piece if it is still attached. It is one of the cheapest things that can break on your car, so chin up! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Need one of these? Get this one. *by P***K on August 4, 2012* Over the lifetime of this 99 Corolla, I've replaced all four interior door handles (and two outside handles, in fact). The originals lasted about 9-10 years, and the final point of failure is always the small plastic clip inside that connects to the metal rod that actually unmatched the door. Out of my last set of replacements, which I put on about four years ago, the driver side interior just failed. Instead of asking a mechanic I checked amazon this time, and found lots. The one I got from Discounted Parts seems to be a perfect fit, color matches accurately, and it was as say to replace as all the rest. I did like that the clip that connects to the door rod clips to the back of the rod rather than the front (the originals and my last set of replacements all connected in front). I don't know if this is an improvement or not but maybe that will alleviate some of the stress the plastic must go through via repeated openings and closings. It seems like an improvement anyway. I'm satisfied, and can easily open the door again. ### ⭐⭐ The good news is that my 2010 TC is much improved *by M***I on July 25, 2014* These just keep breaking. I think maybe its a design flaw. The Toyota Corolla 2000 does not open the lock when you pull on the handle. This seems to cause the handles to break. The good news is that my 2010 TC is much improved. When you open the handle the lock pops up. No broken handles. Anyway.
