## Description

Krytox GPL204 Grease features an effective temperature range of -51C thru 179C. Base oil viscosity, 9cSt @ 100 C / 60cSt @ 40 C. Oil separation from grease, wt loss, % per 30hr @ 99C = 4. NLG1 Grade 2. Krytox GPL204 contains no additives and can be used on components that may come in contact with all chemicals including acids, bases, solvents and other reactive chemicals. Typical applications include valves, bearings, seal barrier fluids, instruments and oxygen systems. Additionally, Krytox Grease is compatible with all elastomeric seal materials and engineering plastics. Review: Used to replace the grease in 608 bearings. - Bought some cheap 608 bearings but they moved a stiff as a board. I had some GPL 206, but while they were much more quiet, they were still a bit stiff. GPL204 as a high viscosity of 60 cSt at 40C so its perfect for these. Just be aware the temperature range is not as high as the other ones, at only 179C. Not that it matters on a 3D printer. PS - Oh, be sure to decide what Krytox to use BEFORE you put them on. Normal bearing grease comes off with petrol, but I have never been able to cleanly remove Krytox.

Bought some cheap 608 bearings but they moved a stiff as a board. I had some GPL 206, but while they were much more quiet, they were still a bit stiff. GPL204 as a high viscosity of 60 cSt at 40C so its perfect for these. Just be aware the temperature range is not as high as the other ones, at only 179C. Not that it matters on a 3D printer. PS - Oh, be sure to decide what Krytox to use BEFORE you put them on. Normal bearing grease comes off with petrol, but I have never been able to cleanly remove Krytox.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for mechanical keyboard switches!

I used this grease to lubricate some halo clear mechanical keyboard switches. The most common lubricant recommended in everyone’s how-to videos is Krytox 295 g0. Although this is not that (it’s Krytox 204 g2), it did the job perfectly, and my keyboard is buttery smooth now! I would recommend this to anyone looking to lubricate keyboard switches!
