When I can babysit it, I connect it to a 12-volt automotive battery. This battery is recharged by a 100W Renogy solar panel, controlled by a small charge controller. The specs of this pump said the maximum head lift is 9-feet, so I cut the siphon (inlet) tubing 9-feet long. The water level in my well is about 9-feet below ground, so it was barely long enough to reach. I added another 5-feet of tube and found that it pumps water and mostly maintains a prime, although sometimes it'll lose the prime and stop pumping. So far, I'm pleased with its performance.

**Q: Why does amazon list this as 55 series but everything on the box is showing 51 series? what it it?**
A: Company sent me a 51-series in a 55-series box

**Q: Will this hold up in salt water as a washdown pump, or does seaflow make a different product for saltwater use?**
A: if your going to use in salt water, flush it out with fresh water when done.

**Q: Will this pump hold up bleaching water??**
A: probably not as a chemical add pump. Should be fine with small concentration if you add bleach to holding tank.

**Q: Will this pump work with hot water?**
A: I would contact the manufacturer. A lot of pumps are rated to handle a certain range of water temperatures. Some pumps will use the water as a coolant, where others have high temp seals to deal with hot water.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HUGE upgrade!

got this to replace the 11 year old shurflo 3.5 gpm pump that i am pretty sure came with my trailer. thing was having all sorts of issues and it had a constant problem of "surging" pressure whenever you turned something on because of the pump cycling on and off. taking showers SUCKED assuming you could even get a whole shower in before the check valve decided to lock up and have 0 pressure. overall just a bad time with the ol shurflo enter this bad boi. coupled with a seaflo accumulator tank and my water pressure is DEAD NUTS ON 60 PSI at all times. i even put a gauge on there to be sure. all my faucets have excellent flow and pressure on the pump like it was hooked to city water! showers are PERFECT with no weird "surging" from the pump cycling. it's also much quieter which is wild considering this pump is bigger! since i wasn't sure if it had its own check valve, i installed one in-line on the vacuum side. if you do install a check valve, THAT'S WHERE IT GOES. trust me. i put it between the accumulator and pump and the pump didn't want to fully shut off, and the pressure was a whole 5 psi higher than it should be. swapped it around and all is good all and all, this is it y'all. get this one!
