But they broke in the heavy metal section of the handle without much pressure on them. They broke in the strongest section of the pliers. The tips do meet at the top, no gaps. The diameter of them start at about 0.5mm to about 3mm. I use this on soft copper wire on up to 18 g without any problems.I admit the handles aren't as evenly weighted as the Ikohe Y2k pliers and are a step below them but still better than most sold.If you are looking for a good quality pair that will last you a long time with good care and at a decent price.
