For most of my bikes (hybrid/touring bikes), the answer is there is enough room – the problem then is: is there enough clearance for the rear derailleur cable to pass by unhindered. If this is a problem you can saw the end of the lower part of the stand so that the cable clears. **Q: Is there any reason this couldn't be fitted to a racing bike? Thanks Bob** A: No, I fitted one to my steel-framed racing bike. Don't tighten it too much or it will damage the frame tubes.
