FABRIC : GOOD QUALITY RAYON BATIK - This classic peasant/gypsy/hippie/boho maxi dress (whew!) retains all of the traditional characteristics that make the style so popular, PLUS it's exceptionally comfortable and easy-to-wear, PLUS the Balinese batiks used to make it up are absolutely outstanding! The bodice has elasticised smocking (both front and back) so it's comfortably supportive and flattering. The wider (i-inch) straps (just wide enough to conceal your bra) are adjustable so you can set the length to be just right. Sexy lacings run vertically down the bodice and the waistline is slightly raised so that it's easy-to-wear. The moderately wide skirt is constructed in 3 tiers. There's ruffling at the hem and there's a diminutive version that runs aroung the top of the bodice as well. Made up in a pair of the most GORGEOUS art-to-wear quality Balinese batiks you'll ever see. They're rayon-based, silky and soft and they wash up beautifully (cold water, drip dry.) You won't find a nicer peasant dress anywhere. Or a groovier hippie frock. Or spicier gypsy frills. It just doesn't get any better.
