## Overview

The GOULDS GT15 IRRI-Gator is a 1.5 hp self-priming centrifugal pump delivering up to 110 GPM flow and 25 ft suction lift. Featuring FDA-compliant, corrosion-resistant materials and a service-friendly back pull-out design, it’s engineered for continuous, reliable irrigation and water transfer with minimal maintenance.

## Description

Gould's GT15 Self-Priming Design Once pump is initially primed, filled with water, it will reprise when the water level rises above the end of the suction pipe. Back pullout design allows disassembly of pump for service without disturbing piping. Two compartment motor for easy access to motor wiring and replaceable components. The Bolt down diffuser provides positive alignment with impeller. Diffuser has stainless wear ring for extended performance in abrasive conditions. F.D.A. compliant, injection molded, food grade, glass filled Lexan for durability and abrasion resistance. Impeller: F.D.A. compliant, glass filled Noryl. Corrosion and abrasion resistant. Corrosion Resistant: Electro-coat paint process is applied inside and out, then baked on. Casing: Cast iron construction. Four (4) bolt, back pull-out design. Tapped openings provided for vacuum gauge and casing drain. Powered for Continuous Operation: Pump ratings are within the motor manufacturer's recommended working limits. Can be operated continuously without damage. Mechanical Seal: Carbon/ceramic faces, BUNA elastomers. 300 series stainless steel metal parts. Pump design prevents the seal from running dry. **Q: looking to pump water from a rain barrel at ground level to flush toilets on 2nd floor of home. will this do the job**
A: Overkill, you don't need that much power.

**Q: Can this pump irrigate 3.4'' pipe at 300' at 25' rise?**
A: Not recommended.The GT15 pump has a 1-1/2" discharge. Designed for large volume flow.Reducing to 3/4" creates WAY TOO much back pressure for this pump. (Back pressure creates HIGH Total Dynamic Head - TDH)In your scenario, Let's say your irrigation system requires a flow rate of 15 GPM @ 35 psi @ 300 ft away from pump Running 15 GPM thru 3/4" pipe for 300 ft =  ~130 ft TDH (Pressure Loss = 56 psi)Plus the 25 ft rise (Pressure loss = 11 psi)And let say you want 35 psi (Higher PSI = Higher TDH) = ~80 ft TDH (Pressure Loss 35 psi)That said, you would need a pump that can operate upwards of 235 TDH (Pressure loss to overcome = 102 psi)The GT15 has a MAX TDH of ~120 ft TDH (or ~ 52 psi) Don't use this pump for your system...it will not work.

**Q: is it possible to over-work this pump by not having enough sprinklers in a zone?**
A: No the problem on pumps is typically when you over flow them (too many sprinklers) and the motor draws more amps.  Also cycling the motor on/off is not good for the motor life.

**Q: I’m replacing a sta-rite ds3hf-01 1.5hp, would this be the correct replacement pump?**
A: Yes these have similar pump curves.
