Ignore the 1 star reviews that fault this player for not being able to play DVD's or Bluray's out of the box. It's a software issue that depends on your system - it has nothing to do with this product whatsoever. Nowhere in the description does it state that it comes with software that will play Bluray or DVD movies. You need VLC Media player and additional Codecs to do this, all of which can be easily Googled.
