It's got everything needed to be a brilliant work that keeps readers engaged.Kerry Fisher does an excellent job of creating characters that you come to know and are very well fleshed out. The plot is something that is truly engaging, moving well while both entertaining and revealing the perfect amount at the right times.Her setting is very well chosen and easily imagined as one reads. The characters are all very realistic, and relatable. The mysteries that are unveiled for the reader definitely have the ring of truth and all contain a message for readers. I read this book straight through, as I was so immersed in this novel. It grabbed me quickly and I had to see it through to the end.Being a bibliophile with lots of time to read and literally thousands of books read, I have only felt compelled to write an email to two authors. Definitely not a gripping, can’t put it down, page turner, but it was decent. The main issue for me was that I didn’t understand a lot of the terminology because the book was written by an author from the UK. In America we don’t say things like “bugger the roses”, “get off the sodding phone”, “knickers”, “crisps” (for chips), “jetting off on a jolly”, “blokes”, “bollocks”. and then all of the money references “twenty quid”, “fifty thousand pounds”.
