HOWEVER, it is definitely NOT rip resistant. Our first use was on a night that we were expecting a thunderstorm with 10 mph winds. It is so lightweight that the wind whipped it around so easily. It tore 2 of the grommets out of the corners. Yes, it did keep us dry for the most part. Unfortunately, the quality wasn't there and we're just out of the return window.
