So this device was purchased for my husband. He’s only 42 and was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. He’s a researcher by nature, so when he found out, he did what he does and stumbled upon these things. This one fit the bill nicely and the reviews were good—and so was the price. Once it arrived he wore it every single evening for a few hours. He LOVED the relief he felt from the terrible pain he’s been in. It seemed to work extremely well. Until it popped. Exactly 2 months after receiving it, it gave out. It developed a loud hiss from one day to the next. Now we’ve ordered two others, each from different brands, both with the same excellent reviews. Only time will tell how well these are made—or if they’re all subpar. Regardless, TWO MONTHS is not acceptable for a medical device. I understand it’s a balloon essentially, but even so, I think they can do better. ### ⭐ Not effective *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2019* I frequently have severe neck pain from an old whiplash injury. I thought that this might pull the pressure off my neck but it is not firm enough. The comfort device was tolerable, I guess, but never gets firm enough to relieve my pain. The air pockets lift primarily in the back of the head so if you want to lay down with it on it cocks my head way too forward. The little hand bulb pump takes forever to fill the device with air and then slowly leaks. I would not recommend this device. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use, excellent value, comfortable *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2019* This traction device supplements my chiropractic exercises and adjustments for some next/shoulder nerve irritation. It works great and I can use it for longer periods than what I can get at the chiro's office. It's great to use while watching TV or working at the desk/computer.
