Review: Disappointed - I purchased these cinnamon sticks after reading the reviews. I fast and like to drink hot water with cinnamon sticks. First they had no cinnamon aroma, second no matter how long I left the stick in the hot water they didn't leave the slightest flavor of cinnamon. I wrote the company and the replied very quickly saying they are the finest cinnamon sticks and I shouldn't compare them to others. I had told them that other brands from the grocery store were better at a far lower price. They explained the difference between cinnamon (Ceylon and Cassia). They offered no refund. I wish I hadn't trusted the reviews because I purchased the double bag. Now I am stuck with too much, and for the price!!!!! ugh oh well.... Guess I will be going back to McCormick or even a generic brand.

I use these simply to eat as is. Cinnamon is said to have health benefits. I enjoy the taste which is different from store bought cinnamon (imitation). I can see why people would say it taste like bark. It has a lighter taste that is less spicey. You also get a large amount with both small and larger quills.
