Additional pockets on inside, heat shields on bottom and rain covers. Bags mount securely and have large protective shield to prevent damage/wear to bike side panels. Only reason for 4 star is the panels that you can insert to maintain shape do not fit pockets very well, but it is serviceable and does the job. For my application the anchor straps were a little short and I bought webbing to modify.
