Spray lysol or disinfectant spray on the inside cap in between washes to keep it fresh. I really loved the crinkle look and the unit looks just like the photo. Here's why I only gave 3 stars as I try to be fair although disappointed. I knew once I pulled the unit out of the bag it was used as it smelled strong like perfume. The person tried to cut the unit and left one side longer than the other and took off a lot of hair on one side leaving it flat and not full. I so wanted to keep this hair, but I'm sending it back. Sometimes ordering hair is a hit or miss and this was a miss due to it being used. This review should not deter you from purchasing, it may be a different experience for you.
