I've been trying to make some acrylic rod bases for my airplane models that I build that don't require me to attach the rod to the airplane. In this case, as you see in my attached photos, I glued different segments of acrylic rod together to act as sort of a landing pad. That airplane isn't necessary light and those end U-shapes rods on my base have held up really well. As long as you let it dry for at least two days, it gets pretty strong. Now, you do have to work quickly as it starts getting globby pretty much right away. It also drys with some bubbles in it, but maybe can work on my application technique. The applicator bottle is pretty nice but it is pretty hard/messy getting the glue from the original container to the applicator. But it makes it much easier to apply it with precision and I just put a little tape over the nozzle and remove it when I need to use it again - won't dry out in that thing. Overall, very happy with the product. Has a good thickness to it, only real negative was my can arrived quite dented and beat up, and it was clearly shipped that way since it was wrapped up with the box undamaged.
