Ideal for model and miniature painting on plastic and metal, it delivers a smooth, matte finish with easy water dilution and non-toxic safety, making it a must-have for hobbyists seeking professional results. ## Description From the Manufacturer The consistency of Modelcolor allows for an extremely smooth and uniform paintfilm, with no trace of brushstrokes. Professional model painters always work with a wet brush and dilute the paint with water or Mat Medium, applying many thin layers to achieve depth and shadows. Colors may also be diluted with other Mediums for glazes and layered applications. The waterbased formula of Modelcolor has been specifically developed for adherence on difficult surfaces such as metal and plastic, but the product is not toxic, not flammable, and does not give off noxious fumes. Errors can be corrected immediately with water or alcohol Modelcolor dries quickly to a matte, even and waterproof finish. Exact drying time depends on the temperature and humidity of the environment, on the surface which has been painted, and on the thickness of the paint layer - although the colors are dry to the touch within minutes, the water content keeps on evaporating, and the paint does not acquire its true permanence until several weeks after application. Vinyl acrylic colours, very highly pigmented, formulated for models and miniatures. Model color is indicated for all surfaces, and especially formulated to adhere to plastics and polyesters. ## Features - 8 color paint set - 17 ml. bottle with eyedropper - The packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the contaimer - Water can bu used to dilute the paint - Colours can be mixed with one another ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000PHCTR0 | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Brand Name | Vallejo | | Color | Assorted | | Container Type | Bottle | | Coverage | Full | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (756) | | Dry Time In Hours | 1.5 | | Finish Type | Matte | | Global Trade Identification Number | 08429551701037 | | Included Components | Brush | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Is Waterproof | False | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Volume | 17 ml | | Item Weight | 0.18 kg | | Manufacturer | Burbank's House of Hobbies | | Model Name | 'Farbset, 8 Wargames Basics' (unsure if this is the exact 'model_name') | | Model Number | VAL-70103 | | Paint Type | Acrylic | | Part Number | 70103 | | Size | 8 Count (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | Non Toxic | | Specific Uses For Product | Painting models, figures, and dioramas | | Surface Recommendation | Metal,Plastic | | Unit Count | 4.59 Fluid Ounces | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Vallejo - **Color:** Assorted - **Finish Type:** Matte - **Item Volume:** 17 ml - **Paint Type:** Acrylic - **Size:** 8 Count (Pack of 1) - **Special Feature:** Non Toxic - **Specific Uses For Product:** Painting models, figures, and dioramas - **Surface Recommendation:** Metal,Plastic - **Unit Count:** 4.59 Fluid Ounces ## Images ![Vallejo Model Color 8 colors Set 70103 Wargames Basics (8) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71NlEkYmgPL.jpg) ![Vallejo Model Color 8 colors Set 70103 Wargames Basics (8) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41dPAUg0-7L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Item Package Quantity, Style** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Wargames Basic Paint Set - Vallejo - Surface Primer Color | Black Acrylic Primer 200 ml (6.76 fl.oz.) | Matte Finish and Fast Drying | Perfect for Airbrushing and Great Adhesion to Figurines and Scale Models - Vallejo - Surface Primer Color | Grey Acrylic Primer 60 ml (2.02 fl.oz.) | Matte Finish and Fast Drying | Perfect for Airbrushing and Great Adhesion to Figurines and Scale Models --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/12927569-vallejo-model-color-8-colors-set-70103-wargames-basics-8](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/12927569-vallejo-model-color-8-colors-set-70103-wargames-basics-8) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
