The wheel vice is very sturdy to the point that strapping the bike in is just a safety precaution and not a necessity. The Handy Lift which is much better and is only a few hundred dollars more. It is also lighter/cheaper materials and is less durable than the Handy Lift. Order the Handy Lift Instead.
