**Q: can anyone tell me about the float? How is it made? Is it solid or hollow?**

**Q: can anyone give me the start up amps for the cicdu800?**
A: Thank you for contacting us with your question. We do not have the starting amperage available to offer on this unit. Please know any use of this unit with an alternative power source is not condoned (generators, invertors, or solar panels). The unit will work on a house breaker which is standard 15-20 amps.

**Q: I'm looking for the Sone rating of this sump pump?**
A: This sump pump is very quiet, almost TOO quiet for my tastes. I could always hear my old pump at the end of it's cycling. That slight noise allowed me to know how fast it was cycling.  If there was a drenching downpour and I didn't hear it cycle, I knew something was wrong (it being accidentally unplugged).  The old pump's minor noise far outweighed the potential for a flooding basement, hauling out the shop vac, mop, etc. for clean up.  This pump is as quiet as a church mouse.

**Q: Is this pump suitable for muddy water?**
A: A sump pump is for cleat water only.
