I would avoid using them on the thin plastic only seats. The thicker toilet seats give you room to screw the screws into the seat and not have them come through the top surface. I always pre-drill holes for the screws. Make sure your drill has a depth gauge or markings to make sure you don't drill to far. I hope that helps. **Q: Has anyone use these on plastic toilet seat? Can they be screwed into the plastic in the area where it is thick?** A: I have a regular plastic seat. To do it as per instructions is not possible because the screws will penetrate the seat. IDK, maybe my toilet seat is low quality, but it was brand new when we moved in and i did not think it was a big deal to buy a more expensive one ( we used to have Toto seats in the previous house and never had this issue). We use a bidet attachment and it became quite disturbing to feel that the seat moves all the time. These little bumpers fixed the issue just great. The only downside was that they are not designed for regular plastic seats and the screw would penetrate the seat.
