I had 2 huge wasp nests with the entrance going into my eaves so the nests were not visible. I bought the powder applicator too to puff the powder into the gaps. I did try the foam spray (screwfix) which did kill a few but as I couldn't access the nest they were still hanging about. I sprayed the area where they were flying into at dusk and they did go berserk so make sure you have an escape plan. The next day we had lots of dead wasps below on the ground and the odd wasp but it has been less than 24 hours and now none. I really thought I would have to get the professionals in for a removal as there was a swarm of them but for £20 (powder and lance) they are all gone.
