I want to ensure i order the appropriate nozzle.** A: Both the male and female ends of the hose are fittings for 1" , they do not neck down to the standard 5/8 and 3/4 hose ends. I had to buy fittings for both ends to adapt to 3/4" hose connections. **Q: Why do the pictures have 3/4" on them but the description is 1"?** A: Because u can order in different (diameter) sizes, as well as lengths. The photo just happens to be of the 3/4th size but I bought 1 inch and I can assure u it looks identical - but is 1 inch diameter Be sure yr garden bibs can take 1inch attachments - or else remember to buy a garden hose connection size to bib size converter. **Q: Did anyone buy the clear hose in 1 inch? Looks like it might not be as flexible as the blue or red.** A: It is as flexible. My experience with "expandable" hoses has been that whether they're steel clad or cloth covered, in a couple of years, the thin expanding material inside will wear out and you'll be stuck.I spent about 30 bucks and multiple hours (doing various repairs) on a 100 foot flexible metal hose. My fourth try finally worked, but I didn't want to depend on it, so I bought this expensive, simple, Made-in-USA hose. It's heavy, (it's 3/4") and not as maneuverable as the old metal hose, but it looks like it will last for many years. I "solved" the maneuverability part by adding a 10 foot flexible metal hose--which is cheap enough to replace every few years if necessary--between the end of the big hose, and the nozzle. I have 2 - a 100' and a 50'. I use them in pumping the blackwater tank on my RV. The hoses are sturdy, the brass fittings are well made & securely attached, & the clear material allows me to monitor what goes through ("Hey, I remember we had corn last week!") The only the problem was the male end threads were damaged. I used a thread file and got the threads chased well enough to get the nozzle screwed on. The hoe was shipped in a clear plastic bag and during transit the threads were damaged. Seller needs to put something over the male end to prevent the threads dome getting damaged.
