Creates a more natural looking curve than the crimping of a manual curler. Also less tugging and pulling so I assume better for your lashes and less chance of pulling them out. The curl also stays longer than with a manual and can be used any time during the day even after applying mascara. In fact it works better to curl after mascara, or before and after if you have time. One charge lasts for over a week.
