What worked for me: I put a few drops of the cleaner on and used the scrubber. This removed some of the ring, but not all. I then put a little more cleaner and let is sit for a couple minutes, then wiped it off until there was just a covering and used the blade tool and it came right off. Glass looks good as new. I meant to take before and after pictures, but I forgot to take the before pictures. I have circles of burnt on food/grease formed around the burners that are really stubborn!** A: I tried rubbing some on the bottom of a stainless steel pot that had some burned on residue...it took some rubbing, but burnt on stuff that my regular dish detergent didn't take off came off with the Ceramabyte. However, Ceramabyte makes a product specifically for stainless steel. It got high reviews, but one person said it streaked and left smudges. With this product, you HAVE to use a clean dry cloth (or paper toweling) and completely rub the product off after you've finished removing the dirt and grease. And, it's important not to use too much...I just use a few drops on my cooktop...otherwise it does take much longer to get all the residue off and leave it spotless. The stainless steel cleaner can also be purchased with a special scrub pad. It is amazing. The scrub pads are great too and they don't scratch, neither does the scraper. First, you use the scraper to remove the burnt debris. Then you pour a little bit of cleaner and scrub with the pads. The holder makes it easy to use. Then you wipe it with a paper towel or the convenient cloth and voila!
