A single tuber will produce 5-7 pads and 1-2 stems will emerge topped with showy ebony flowers that float along the surface of the water. Exotic yet tough, Water Lily Nero can be grown as successfully in tubs as it can in ponds

This lilly was sprouted a bit.  It seems to do well in my pond, however, the bloom is not purple, it's pink.  This one at least grew.  The other one that I purchased with this one was dead when I received it in the mail (never sprouted).

The one I ordered is growing. It's growing pretty slow, but it may be the weather, which has been different here this spring and summer (in SW New Mexico. I'm still waiting for a blossom.

Bought two and one did not grow at all.  I received a replacement which did grow leaves.  Neither grew any flowers despite following instructions.
