The texture is nice and soft, the edges are raises above the curved screen, and it seems to handle impact well. BUT heads up, when you first take out the case and for the next few days ....it's seriously like a lint roller. The rubber attracts everything, dog hair/pocket lint/dust. Initially I was pretty dissapointed, but after a couple of days the rubber changed texture from the oil on my hands maybe?? Not sure, but there's a noticeable improvement. Occasionally some sticky dust or fur will land on it still, but it cleans easy thanks to the silicone.
