For as thin as it is, it does have quite a bit of weight to it which is nice. We wash and dry like any other blanket with no special care and have washed many many times. It has shown no wear at all, no loose threads… maybe a slight bit of fading but I would even say less than I would expect after as many washes as it’s had. I’m now looking into buying another one in a larger size.
