Does it have an expiration date?** A: Whatever you do don’t squeeze or smash them to bad they will break down on the inside and not last as long. **Q: are these packs TSA approved?** A: I am not sure. I know the 6 pack frozen gel pack got taken away when my daughter was carrying her meal prep thru security. I would check with them. **Q: How long does the iso packs stay cold?** A: They eventually evaporate (approx 3-6 months), but before that, they last 10-12 hours in a room temp environment and well isolated meal prep bag. They worked great for me after surgery for 2 hip and 1 knee replacement. This my second set because my first set is a few years old and I lost one and another one was squished. I use these with a Isolator bag and together they keep my food cold all day. Even when I've used the ice packs in a small ice chest, they worked much better than the hard plastic blue ice packs.
