The boots rubbed up like new the next morning. This stuff is brilliant compared to the cherry blossom I’ve been using for decades. No going back now, I feel this gear is easily better. Have towels handy when polishing as the cream gets everywhere. Consistency is like moisturiser and needs time to dry and bed in. I have full grain biker boots and don’t like the shine you get with wax polishes. This is more of a matte colour polish and suits the style of boots perfectly. I polished two pairs of boots with what was on the lid after opening, I would say very good value for money because of this. This has a more liquidy consistency than Meltonian. The closest I've found to old Meltonian creams is Kelly's Shoe Cream. Saphir is good too. That said, Tarrago is still a very good cream and produces an excellent shine, and has the advantage of being good for handbags, couches, and other soft leather items. **Q: Can this product be used on a leather couch?** A: yes and it helps smooth over any cracking, Also good for other marks that appear on leather. **Q: Does this also function as a waterproofer?** A: Don't know. It is a shoe polish and probably provides the level of waterproofing that one could expect of any shoe polish. It does not advertise itself to be a waterproofer. **Q: I am rehabing a heavily soiled purse. If I use saddle soap to clean the purse first will I still be able to use the shoe cream?** A: The saddle soap will not hurt to be used first.
