Supports VGA & RGB For Full DC Support The Kaico Dreamcast HDMI converter uses the highest quality output on a Dreamcast (VGA) and also supports RGBs. This enables the user to play any Dreamcast game without worrying if it is supported or not. Simply change the switch on the side of the HDMI to choose between VGA mode or RGBS mode. VGA is the best option but for certain games i.e. Hydro Thunder, Skies of Arcadia (PAL) etc VGA will not work. This is why we have added functionality for RGBS, so all games are fully supported. Plug and play Review: Great enhanced visuals - What a brilliant bit of kit. I’m going through a restoration phase with my old consoles and this is a must buy for the Dreamcast. The visuals are fantastic when run through this little plugin device, I had contemplated installing a build in HDMI to the Dreamcast but this has saved me loads of money. Doesn’t require any external power it literally is ‘plug and play’. The Dreamcast should sync with the tv just fine. **Q: Will hdmi converter work on Samsung 4ktv 49 inch** A: I can’t see why it won’t. I’m using it on a Samsung 43 inch 4K tv. All it’s doing is allowing for an HDMI lead to connect to a Dreamcast so performance shouldn’t be an issue on a different tv. **Q: Audio is really over compressed, loud and distorted. Is this normal?** A: No this is not normal. My audio is perfectly fine. I’ve had no issues with any kind of distortedness with audio or video **Q: Reviewers elsewhere on Youtube have mentioned vertical banding / static vertical lines evenly distributed, is this a byproduct of the cable?** A: Apologies we have not been made aware of any vertical banding / static vertical lines with this adapter. We have not had any returns for this issue either. I will look into and pass it onto our dev team. However we have done hours of testing and not seen this issue before. Thank you, Kaico ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plug n play *by A***W on 7 July 2026* Great adapter does exactly what it's supposed to do. Play dreamcast on modern tv's. Plug and play ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great enhanced visuals *by M***N on 27 February 2026* What a brilliant bit of kit. Highly recommended buy ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than any other upscaler i've used *by J***R on 21 July 2023* I have never written a review before on amazon (at least I think), but this HDMI converter was so impressive that it's worth leaving one for. Works seamlessly on a modern PC monitor and outputs amazing audio and video with no noticeable input delay. I've used AV converters before that cost twice as much and leave noise and artefacts, but this is truly as close as you'll get to perfection without using a HDMI mod on the Dreamcast console. A solid 10/10 for me, I'm definitely looking into buying the same brand for my original Xbox also. ## Frequently Bought Together - Kaico Sega Dreamcast HDMI Adapter – Plug & Play HDMI Converter for Sega Dreamcast Console – Supports DC VGA & RGBS Output – All-in-One AV Cable for All Dreamcast Games - Kaico PS1 HDMI / PS2 AV Cable Compatible with Sony PlayStation & PS2 Models - Switch Between RGB & Component - PS1 & PS2 to HDMI Converter for Any HD TV - Kaico Original Xbox to HDMI Adapter– HD Link Cable for Original Xbox Console– Supports 480i/480p/720p/1080i– Dolby Digital 5.1 via Optical Port– Plug & Play Converter with Toslink Audio Support --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/131848812-dreamcast-hdmi-adapter-plug-and-play-converter-with-vga-rgbs](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/131848812-dreamcast-hdmi-adapter-plug-and-play-converter-with-vga-rgbs) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
